Today's News

Checking the papers today:

Juliann writes that Council will vote to re-calibrate the Redevelopment Commission in order to save time (presumably to learn more about what TIF is). Gazetteer and devoted Beck watcher "LBryan" blames this on the "Community Organizers" within the Obama-Marxist axis of evil, while regular opiner "island_native" calls the move "ridiculous".

In the continuing saga of the Beaufort versus Jasper County "Wes'side Story" saga, a Beaufort High School teen is now believed to be the principal victim at Memorial Hospital in Savannah following a gun battle at Bluffton High School.

Meanwhile, the Paper for the Garden Club reports on the Garden Club's 75th anniversary. And they call themselves fair and balanced.

Lastly, the News decided to end its six-day hiatus by reporting that DaVinci is back from the dead and in a classroom near you. No word yet on Michelangelo's return.

City Council tonight

City Council is meeting tonight. Naturally, there is no agenda item posted on the terrible website that they pretend to update.

Perhaps in the spirit of outsourcing, the website may be included in the next wave?
